Dermatological screening scans \u2013 the importance of early detection<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Altered environmental impact such as climate change, thinning of the ozone shield surrounding our earth, increased exposure to harmful UV radiation all fundamentally affect our skin\u2019s exposure to harmful radiation and, proportionately the likelihood of developing.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>This is why it is important to:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Regular introspection (a thorough examination of our entire body surface, with particular attention to the appearance of new lesions and a change in the size of existing e.g. birthmarks),<\/li>\n
  2. <\/strong>Appearance at a regular dermatology examination, contribute to early detection of malignant tumors and significantly increase the chances of recovery.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0<\/strong>What lesions should you consult a dermatologist?<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Changes in the color, surface, shape of the birthmark (becomes asymmetric)<\/li>\n
    • The number of birthmarks increases and\/or they start to increase<\/li>\n
    • Gets scared and\/or starts bleeding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \u00a0<\/strong>The birthmarks are examined with a dermatoscope (special skin microscope) to clearly detect the length, edge, size and various deviations of the birthmarks, so that the specialist can filter out those that can become dangerous later.<\/span><\/p>\n

      After seeing the results, the dermatologist proposes any additional forms of treatment or surgical removal of lesions.<\/p>\n

      Melanoma <\/strong><\/h4>\n

      Risk factors, risk-increasing factors:<\/strong> light skin, eye and hair color, as well a large number of birthmarks, a family history of melanoma or having a melanoma<\/p>\n

      Melanoma may develop from a long-standing birthmark, but it is largely produced in areas of skin where no birthmark has previously been.<\/p>\n

      Of all the cancers, one of the worst-tempered is the melanoma, which often metastasizes to internal organs.<\/p>\n

      <\/strong>Squamous cell carcinoma<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      It ranks among the malignant skin tumors, damaging its environment, unfortunately also gives metastases. The cause of its development is also due to UV radiation. They most often appear on the hands, face and scalp of elderly, Caucasian people, but can also occur in patients with wounds, scars, ulcers and patients who have undergone radiotherapy.<\/p>\n

      Basalioma<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      It is the most common and the most curable type of skin cancer, most of which occurs on the skin (face, shoulder) after being heavily exposed to sunlight (multiple sunburn, regular tanning), so the protection of the skin and various prevention techniques play an outstanding role in avoiding the development of the disease.<\/p>\n
